The 10th Birthday Edition of Latitude Festival will take place from Thursday 16th July to Sunday 19th July 2015 in the beautiful, idyllic lake and woodland grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk. The festival has confirmed that the headline acts and part of the bill will be revealed on Tuesday 3rd March, but who can we expect to be there?
Melvin Benn, founder of the multi-arts festival, has said that
…all three headliners are already secured. We’ve got one act in particular who is someone extra special who we’ve been trying to book for years. Another of our headliners is someone who has risen through the ranks of the festival and will be topping the bill for the very first time. The third is someone who has headlined Latitude before, and loved the experience so much that they wanted to come back for the Birthday Edition! The birthday theme is something you’ll see all across the festival, with ten acts from Latitude 2006 coming back for special homecoming shows.
Performance poet Luke Wright, curator of the festival’s Poetry Arena, has released a teaser video whereby he speaks of the “binge of art and dearth of sleep” that has come to define the weekender. The festival has embarked on an amazing journey since it’s first edition in 2006, most notably winning the Dan Crawford Innovation Award at the Empty Space Peter Brook Awards.
